"I am just a guy who is the happiest when I am doing things for others."
My Work and Philosophy
When I was young, I was an underdog. Now, my passion is holding space for the underdogs and those that seem to fall through the cracks. When it comes to counseling, there is a lot of help for people who have money but not much for those who do not. I am a mentor. Both mentors and coaches benefit people in several ways. To do the most good, people need to be clear on what their priorities are and what kind of support they are looking for. With the right support, people can become more aware, engaged, and, I feel, alive.
Mentorship vs Coaching
Mentoring is a long-term process based on mutual trust and respect.
Coaching, on the other hand, is for a short period of time. It’s best to keep it short and sweet.
Mentoring is more focused on creating an informal association between the mentor and mentee.
Coaching, alternatively, follows a more structured and formal approach.
A mentor has first-hand experience of the mentee’s concerns.
A coach, however, does not need to have a hands-on experience of the kind of work the coachee is engaged in.
The topmost priority of a mentor is to help develop skills that are not just relevant for the mentees in their present life but also for the future.
For a coach, the biggest priority is to improve performance that impacts the present goals.
